1. Test purpose and scope
Piano Motion Lab is currently a functional test and judgment-validation build for piano practice, performance sound analysis, and motion observation. Results are for practice and testing only. They do not replace a teacher's professional judgment or constitute medical, rehabilitation, or safety advice.
2. Information processed during testing
Depending on the performance-analysis tools you use, the platform may process a test code and invited learner profile, score files, recordings, MIDI, performance video, motion landmarks, system results, and necessary device-operation information. Motion Music and game activity are not submitted as sound or motion analysis samples.
3. How the information is used
This information is used to perform practice analysis, display and review results, identify incorrect judgments, improve accuracy, conduct de-identified research related to this test, protect the service, and resolve faults. The test build may produce recognition errors, interruptions, or delayed results. Review findings against the actual performance and a teacher's opinion.
4. Automatic submission and access
After one confirmation, sound, MIDI, score, video, motion-feature, and analysis records are submitted automatically when the relevant analysis finishes, without a separate prompt for every record. Free testing does not collect a name or create a long-term user identity; its records enter an anonymous pool visible only to platform administrators and the owner. Institution-test records may be viewed by the assigned teacher, administrators, and the platform owner according to their permissions.
5. Identity, retention, and devices
Free testing creates a temporary identifier for the current APP session only and does not provide history or cross-device recovery after the session closes. Invited institution profiles, test-code relationships, and authorization state are retained during testing and may later be migrated to a formal account. The platform uses access controls and record separation to protect data.
6. Children and guardians
A parent or other guardian should read and complete authorization for a learner under 14. The guardian should confirm that submitted identity and contact information is accurate and help the learner understand how recordings, video, and practice records may be used.
7. Human review
Authorized teachers, administrators, or the platform owner may review sound and motion analysis records to assess whether the system result is accurate. Free-testing records are not shown to institution teachers. Institution teachers can only view records linked to invited learners in their scope. The platform owner can view test records and review results.
8. User responsibility and updates
Only upload scores, audio, and video that you are allowed to use, and avoid unrelated information about other people. If the data scope, purpose, retention, or authorized recipients materially changes, the platform should explain the change and obtain the appropriate consent again.
